This endorsement is only for the Democratic primary, but it's difficult to see a Republican getting environmental support in the general election considering the out-of-touch-with-reality statements coming from GOP candidates.

Apart from declining to endorse either of the Democratic gubernatorial candidates, the AFL-CIO threw its weight behind Alexi Giannoulias for U.S. Senate, Terry Link for lieutenant governor, and Robin Kelly for state treasurer.
The federation also did not endorse in the 10th Congressional District primary or the comptroller race.
