I’m fascinated by the variety of patterns the sea weaves into shoreline sand. This shot is the first in a series I’ll share over the next few days.
We came upon a blackbear sow and her two cubs along a road in the mountains north of Vancouver. The mother shooed the cubs up a tree straightaway and kept an eye on us until we left. You can just make out her face through the brush at
