Lucien Trammell, who was convicted earlier this year of shooting Shreveport Police Officer John Madjerick in the face, was sentenced today to 58 years by Judge Leon Emmanuel. Trammell was sentenced under the habitual offender bill which provides for enhance penalties of 33½ to 100 years.[...]

I have heard from a number of people today who were attempting to email their city councilman regarding the police and fire layoffs. All of the email was coming back with a message that it was undeliverable.
