  • Oh hi

It's been a bit since I've written anything in here. Monday, in fact.

Not much has been going on since then. My last post concluded that I was calling Goodwill to come get the green couch. Well, Goodwill has ended their pickup service. A few more phone calls got [...]

  • Alright

[info]It took forever to go through all of them, but I uploaded 136 photos from our Scotland trip to Facebook. You might be able to see them here. I don't know, Facebook is weird. Now go bug zinniz to upload all of hers. She' [...]

  • Ahh

Nothing like waking up at noon. I haven't really been in bed all night. I reluctantly got up at 3:30 to go work this morning, my last full 5-hour morning, and the last with Stan because he's going on vacation to Florida next week. I immediately went back to bed' [...]

  • Ok

There's so many things I don't understand about this clip. First of all, I love the coat and want one like it. After that, though, what kind of weird instrument is that guy blowing into. What kind of dance is that guy doing during the chorus, and what's with the' [...]

  • Hot

I just did a rapid-fire mowing of the back yard, trying to finish before the next big round of rain comes through.

This morning I was almost late. I forgot to turn on the alarm. It was set, just not on. I woke up at 3:45, the time I [...]

  • Another number

Charter man is here installing our charter telephone. It's part of our new super-package. We already have 2 cell phones and one land line to the house. We don't need this, it's just part of the deal. Now we have 4 phone numbers as part of this household, and only' [...]

  • Radio

Some guy on the radio lied to me yesterday and said it wasn't going to rain today.

Oh, and Robert Anderson died today. Very sad.' [...]

  • Rainy day

[info]It's been quite nice all day, but the predicted thunderstorms arrived right on time and made for a wet drive home.

Yesterday was wet, too, a bit. I had to take zinniz to the airport, since Monday was a holiday. That meant I left [...]

  • Gray Memorial Day

It's very gray and unpleasant outside. It's kind of been that way almost all weekend.

Friday was nice. I had a productive if difficult to initiate lunch meeting with Ron, except instead of just Ron there were 4 other people there. I had thai chicken pizza. Can't say that's [...]

  • It's Wednesday

It's Wednesday, normally my busiest day, but I didn't teach any today. People were gone, had other things, cancelled, whatever, so with my throat still feeling a little scratchy, I cancelled the last remaining couple of lessons and came home. I got a lot of practicing done today.

    Yesterday' [...]

The second best facepalm of the wedding day

I'm again discovering all the fun of the International Music Score Library Project, mainly for linking to Organlive tracks, but also for my own fun. Time to stop with that now, though. Live365 is having major issues today,' [...]

  • Full Saturday

Yesterday was a very full day, as opposed to Friday which was a little slow. We were full of mainstream entertainment. Chad and Robyn picked us up a little before noon and took us downtown. They had scored some excellent seats for the Cardinals-Brewers game. We were on the 11th [...]

  • I was hoping that while we were ...

I was hoping that while we were gone we would miss the cotton snow generated by our gigantic cottonwood tree this year. Not to be, it seems like we're right in the thick of it. All the lawns around our house are edged by white fluffiness, and blocks away from' [...]

  • Lawncare

I just tackled the back yard with it's more-than-two-weeks of growth. When we were leaving things weren't growing well. Apparently it rained a lot while we were gone. Not fun, really.

I had a discussion with OM coworker about food in Scotland. He was asking me if we ate' [...]

  • So we're home

[info]We made it home last night about 6pm. form1040 picked us up at the airport. After a more-than-7-hour business class flight, follwed by the Admiral's Club, then topped off by a see-how-many-free-drinks-we-can-get first class flight from Chicago, the last thing we needed to do upon [...]

  • Rain

We just got home from the rainiest vacation I've ever had and it's now raining here this morning. We had lots of rain, but nothing this hard. From the sound of it, there might be hail.

I'm up early, as expected. I planned on going to the early morning [...]
