  • Obama and Virginia

    Fishersville Mike

For me, it's not important whether voters were voting against Obama Tuesday.

In my earlier post, I mentioned some consultants who should never work in politics again. I’m not generally one to name names, but since he’s been outed, David Petts is one of those guys. Told by Petts that his convincing primary win positioned him well with the Democratic base – core [...]

  • How to Hire a Field Director

    7 West

I heard an interview with David Plouffe, who managed the Obama 2008 Presidential campaign. He was talking about his early years. And, almost as a throwaway, he added that in one of his early jobs, he sold knives door to door.

Over the years, one of the tidbits I learned when [...]

As a non-Virginian who happens to live here,' [...]

  • Senate Machinations

    Mason Conservative

8th:  Jeff McWaters or Rosemary Wilson seem to be a lock whoever gets the nomination

37th:  Republican side is set with Steve Hunt, Will Nance, and Marianne Horinko.  Dave Marsden looks to be the likely candidate in the 37th distirct as David Bulova has ducked out and Janet Oleszek was apparently [...]

Everyone I talk to that is politically inclined around here say that Kai has his sights set higher than mayor. Well, he’s not going to be the delegate or state senator….so I guess he’ll have to move.

On a related note….I asked someone at First Fridays who was looking to run [...]

Everyone who has read this blog over the last 6 years knows that Matt and I have not agreed on too many things and because of that I have never supported his campaigns or even voted for him.

George Allen’s comment on Matt’s “wholesomeness” yesterday really hit a nerve with me. [...]
